About Us
Cat caves are our flagship — but the same hand-felting craft goes into every dog den, felt cat bed, wool felt pet bed and handmade felt pet toy we make.
Felt & Paw is a small UK workshop making handcrafted felt goods for cats and dogs. Every piece is needle-felted by hand from 100% merino wool — no moulds, no machines pressing shapes, just dense, springy felt built to last for years of daily naps.
Cat caves are our flagship — the domes we started with and still make first — but the same craft goes into our dog dens and beds, cat beds and mats, felt toys and tunnels. One material, one standard, for every pet in the house.
Our makers learned their craft in Nepal, where hand-felting wool has been practised for generations. The technique travelled with them: layers of soft merino wool, hot water, soap, and a great deal of patience, worked by hand until the felt is dense enough to hold its shape on its own. Each piece takes hours, and no two come out exactly alike.
We started Felt & Paw because we kept seeing the same thing — cats ignoring expensive beds and sleeping in boxes, laundry piles and paper bags, and dogs circling for a den that did not exist. Cats and dogs both want somewhere enclosed, warm and quiet. Felt gives them exactly that, made from a material they actually like to sleep on.
Everything is made to order in small batches, checked by hand before it leaves the workshop, and sent out across the UK. If your pet does not take to their bed, tell us — we would rather hear about it than have a beautiful piece gathering dust.
